Hamilton, An American Musical Discussion

3rd Tuesdays, Pre-Show 9 - 9:55 am; Discussion 10 am – 11:15 AM

Everyone is invited to join this ongoing discussion about the music, poetry, history, and drama of this Broadway musical hit.  At the 9:00 am Pre-Show, participants may request previous songs, suggest additional discussion topics, hear cuts from the Hamilton Mixed Tape, and, if time permits, watch YouTube clips from the Broadway Musical. After a brief break, the Hamilton Discussion will move progressively through the 46 show tunes---5 to 6 songs per month--- from the cast album entitled Hamilton, An American Musical by Lin Manuel Miranda.  Guests may follow the lyrics projected on the wall and discuss relevant aspects of each song. Libretto footnotes will be read from the book Hamilton, the Revolution by Lin Manuel Miranda and Jeremy McCarter. Attendees are encouraged to purchase both resources.  NOTE: Cast album and book contain some profanity. For more information, pick up a flyer or call Helena: 253-856-5164.  Pre-registration is highly suggested but not required. #64636
