Pineapple Express UKULELE JAM AND HULA CHRISTMAS SHOW

Enjoy the Hawaiian sights and sounds of the Kent Senior Activity Center's Ukulele Jam musicians and hula dancers' presentation during lunch. The Pineapple Express is led by Mas Tamekuni and the hula instructors are Malia Gilbert and Mary Lu Verduin.

STG Broadway @ Kent Dance Workshop – “CATS”

The Paramount Theatre dance workshop was so successful in January of 2018 that the Seattle Theatre Group selected Kent to host its second community dance outreach series entitled STG Broadway @ Kent. Dance workshops are held at the Kent Senior Activity Center and the Kent Library. These workshops feature basic dance steps taught by one of STG’s professional dance instructors, Nikki Long. In addition to dancing, participants will receive discount codes for STG’s season, including shows like Cats, scheduled from March 26 through March 31, 2019. Pre-registration is required and all participants, age 16 and older, must sign a permission form before the workshop begins. For more information call 253-856-5164.

(The Center closes at 4:30 p.m. on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays and at 9 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Please also note any early closures the Center may have during the year.)
