Events include running, walking, shot put, jumps, wheelchair events and relays. Includes participation in Special Olympics tournaments with MANDATORY PRACTICE REQUIRED. *Program runs March 20, 2019 - May 29, 2019
Cheer Team
This class will focus on learning cheers, group dance routines and spirit. Cheer participants may participate in select Special Olympics events. *No class 1/22/19 and 2/19/19
Beginners Swimming
This course is designed for individuals 8 years and up who have never been in the water before, or need to build confidence in the water. Instructors will work with participants on floating independently, kicking your legs from the wall, and the very basics of swimming. This is a group instruction class, so if you need a 1:1 in the water you will need to bring a care provider with you. *No class on 2/23/19
Basic to Intermediate Swimming (Developmental Swim)
This course in designed for individuals with developmental/and or physical disabilities. Individuals will learn stroke development and basic to intermediate swimming skills. *No class on 2/23/19
Dolphin Swim Team
This course is designed for individuals 8 and up, with developmental and/or physical disabilities, to improve swimming skills and strokes. All athletes must have a current Special Olympics medical form on file.

Tennis
Learn basic tennis skills from a pro! This inclusive program is designed for individuals with special needs ages 12 and up; or with instructor approval.
Medical Forms/Competition information:
To participate in Special Olympics training programs and tournaments, applicants must have a current Application of Participation (medical form) on file with Adaptive Recreation. Medical forms are good for up to three (3) years. Medical registration form
Employee's Recycling Fund
Employee's Recycling Fund donations have supported many of our Adaptive Recreation sports programs including soccer, cycling, basketball, volleyball, bowling, softball/t-ball, and track & field.
