Summer 2019 Trips
This 2.1 mile out and back trail, located near Tacoma, Washington, offers beautiful wildflowers as well as a nice, sandy beach. This hike is considered moderate; participants must be able to walk 1 mile without stopping. Please pack a sack lunch only. *This trip is not wheelchair accessible.
We will join the more than 50,000 people who visit Jetty Island annually to wiggle their toes in the warm sand, play in the shallow water, and explore the nature trails of the Port of Everett's two-mile long scenic gem. Please pack a large lunch, lots of water and snack for this long day on the beach. *Wheelchair transportation is not provided for this trip.
Enjoy a day in the sun playing games and having lunch at Kidd Valley or Ivar's. Please bring $20 for lunch or pack a sack lunch. UPDATE: This trip does not currently provide wheelchair transportation. 04/10/19
We will eat lunch at MOD Pizza before we take in the latest blockbuster hit of the summer. Please bring $15 for lunch. Your non-refundable admission is included in the price of the trip. This is an accessible excursion from Kent Commons to Kent Station with open online registration.
Summer Monday Adventures
We will head north to beautiful Anacortes, Washington for a day of walking along the water, window shopping, and lunch. Please bring $20 for lunch out, or pack a sack lunch. *Wheelchair transportation is not provided for this trip.
The 179-acre Evans Creek Preserve offers wildflower meadows, wetlands, wildlife, forested uplands and 3.5 miles of pedestrian-only loop trails. This is considered a difficult hike with narrow, uneven dirt trails; participants must be able to walk up to 2 miles. *This trip is not wheelchair accessible.
We will head out to Kanaskat-Palmer State Park for a hike around Deep Lake and then play lawn games. Please bring a sack lunch only to enjoy at the park. *Wheelchair transportation is not provided for this trip.
