The Adaptive Recreation Division offers a full range of programs, services and classes for citizens with disabilities in our community.
Local community outings on Mondays and Wednesdays for individuals (age 15 and up) with disabilities.
Local, weekend community outings for youth and adults with disabilities.
A social club with activities including dances, talent shows, theme nights and holiday parties..
Creative art courses include rhythmic arts and expressive arts.
Access the Future Computer Classes
A computer class designed for individuals with developmental and/or physical delays. Class meets at the Kent Senior Activity Center in the computer training lab. Please note registration is limited to one class per quarter (Monday or Tuesday*) due to space limitation. *No class 1/21/19 and 2/18/19
Flexi-Fit & Fun, Yoga and Relaxation are our exercise programs.
Learn the basic skills of preparing a meal. Enjoy nutritious food with friends and have fun learning to cook. *No class 1/22/19 and 2/19/19
This class will focus on healthy, basic, simple, quick and affordable menus and meals. We will be doing 8 weeks on hands on cooking and health and nutritional education. We will also learn how to make healthy snack for on the go living.*No class 1/21/19, 1/28/19 and 2/18/19
Variety of team and individual sports programs offered to participants with developmental and physical disabilities from 8 years of age and up.
MS Support Group - Meets at the Kent Senior Activity Center the third Thursday of the month from 10 a.m. - noon. For more information call Lisa Boon at 253-630-1722.
NAMI (South King County) - Support and education for anyone who has or is involved with someone with mental issues. Meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at the Alliance Center, 515 W. Harrison. For more information call at Jim Adams 425-643-7622
