Who We Are and What We Do

The Green Kent Partnership is a collaboration between the city of Kent, the King Conservation District, Forterra, community groups and non-profits, businesses, schools, and hundreds of individual volunteers working together to actively maintain the city's natural areas.

Why We Do It

Trees and natural green spaces are important, and provide essential community benefits such as

  • Reduced storm water runoff
  • Improved air and water quality
  • Reduced greenhouse gases
  • Attractive communities
  • Increased property values
  • Improved quality of life

Why You Should Do it Too

Because you want Kent to stay healthy and green for generations to come!  Kent's natural areas depend on people like you to help remove aggressive weeds, help plant native trees and shrubs, and help maintain healthy, beneficial ecosystems.
