Questions about the Shoreline Master Program update?
Contact Danielle Butsick, AICP Sr. Long-Range Planner firstname.lastname@example.org 253-856-5443
The City of Kent Shoreline Master Program sets rules for how we use or develop Kent's shorelines.
The City is reviewing its Shoreline Master Program (SMP), to comply with Washington's Shoreline Management Act (SMA). The SMA requires that each SMP be reviewed, and revised if needed, every 8 years. This regular review makes sure the SMP stays current with changes in laws and rules, is consistent with other City of Kent plans and regulations, and reflects changed circumstances and new information.
