Interurban Trail to close as part of 228th St. overpass project
Starting Monday, April 15, the Interurban Trail along the Union Pacific Railroad between James Street and the Connector Trail south of 212th Street will be closed until late 2020.

Kent Fun Runs Win Marketing Awards
The Kent Parks & Recreation Department submitted several entries for judging at the Washington State Festival and Events Association 26th Annual Conference and won the Gold Summit Award for best t-shirt design and Christmas Fun Run won Silver for best t-shirt design.

City of Kent opens Business or Leisure Tourism Promotion Grant Application Process 2019-20 projects
Applications for the City of Kent’s 2019-20 Business or Leisure Tourism Promotion Grants will be accepted online beginning April 1 through midnight April 30.
On Ordinance No. 4320, an emergency interim zoning ordinance which amended title 15 of the Kent City Code by limiting trucking-intensive land uses on a temporary basis, pending completion of an industrial land subarea plan.

Kent's Rental Housing Inspection Program begins March 2019
