In keeping with the updated guidelines established by the Governor and King County's Local Health Officer, ALL Kent Parks programs, classes, events, and rentals are now CANCELED through March 31. All recreation facilities, including the Kent Commons Community Center, Senior Activity Center, and all sports complexes will be CLOSED through March 31. In addition, all Kent School District sites are CLOSED through April 24. 

Refunds are being issued for all canceled programs, classes, and events. Please contact the Cultural Arts division at 253-856-5050 for full refunds on Spotlight Series performances. 

Role of the Arts Commission

The Kent Arts Commission advises the City Council in areas such as:

  • Establishing cultural opportunities and arts education
  • Improving Kent's quality of life and enhancing our aesthetic environment
  • Promoting Kent as a center for great arts  

Meeting Schedule

  • Meetings are held at 5:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month
  • Conference Room #401 in the Kent Centennial Building, 400 W Gowe St.
