750+ Volunteers Helped Clean Up Kent in 2019
Through our Adopt-A-Street and Adopt-A-Programs
In 2019, more than 750 volunteers helped clean up Kent through one of our litter clean-up programs.
Last year, more than 750 volunteers helped clean up Kent through our Adopt-A-Street and Adopt-A-Spot programs. At the end of the year, we had a total of 47 groups, including 17 who joined the program in 2019.
Other 2019 stats include the following:
- More than 1,248 volunteer hours
- 750 bags of trash collected
- 2 TeamUp2CleanUp events (spring and fall)
On January 21, Mayor Dana Ralph and the Kent City Council recognized 70 volunteers at a city council meeting. A huge thank you to these awesome volunteers for helping us clean up Kent!
