Last year, more than 750 volunteers helped clean up Kent through our Adopt-A-Street and Adopt-A-Spot programs. At the end of the year, we had a total of 47 groups, including 17 who joined the program in 2019.

Other 2019 stats include the following:

  • More than 1,248 volunteer hours
  • 750 bags of trash collected
  • 2 TeamUp2CleanUp events (spring and fall)

On January 21, Mayor Dana Ralph and the Kent City Council recognized 70 volunteers at a city council meeting. A huge thank you to these awesome volunteers for helping us clean up Kent!

There are more streets and spots that can use the community’s help. Learn more about how easy it is to Adopt-A-Street or Adopt-A-Spot at KentWA.gov/TalkingTrash. You can also call 253-856-5589 or email TalkingTrash@KentWA.gov to get more information. We’d love to have you join or start one of our volunteer clean-up crews!
