Mayor Cooke's State of the City Address for 2016

Mayor Cooke presented her State of the City Address to the Kent Chamber of Commerce, Wednesday, March 9.

Innovation beyond our dreams is happening right here – in Kent - and we can help our kids to be part of it!  Take a look.

While these rockets aren’t launched in Washington, I am proud to say they are made here in Kent!  Blue Origin, located less than a mile from here, employs 450 rocket scientists and technicians, and has plans to hire 300 more.  But you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to get a great job in Kent.
