Planting Party at the Park
Location: Morrill Meadows Park
Date: October 1, 2016   9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Description: Fall season at the park is planting season! Join the celebration by helping to put baby plants in their new home.  Rain or shine.  All ages and abilities are welcome.  Training and tools will be provided.
  
Planting Work Party
Location: North Meridian Park
Date: October 2, 2016   9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Description: Do you enjoy spending time outdoors?  Want to give back to your community?  Need to earn community service hours?  If so, join us and help improve the park!
  
15th Annual ReLeaf Event
Location: Clark Lake Park
Date: October 8, 2016   9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Description: Clark Lake Park is 130 acres of beautiful habitat.  Join us to “Re-Leaf” the park!  This fun fall event is for all ages and abilities.  Spend the morning saving native trees from being taken over by blackberries, planting more trees, and creating “mulch rings.”  See you there, rain or shine!
  
Green Kent Planting Party
Location: Lake Fenwick Park
Date: October 15, 2016   9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Description: Join your park Stewards and help plant native plants in the woods surrounding Lake Fenwick.  Finish up the morning by spreading mulch around the new baby plants.

Location: Park Orchard Park
Date: October 16, 2016   9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Description: Park Orchard Park has a beautiful urban forest but needs our help to add a little diversity.  Help us improve the park while also helping out animals and your community!
  
Green Kent Day Event
Location: Morrill Meadows Park
Date: October 22, 2016   9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Description: Green Kent Day is the biggest celebration of the year!  Join your Green Kent Stewards and work together to remove invasive weeds, plant native shrubs, and spread some mulch.  Bring the whole family and stay for lunch – thanks, Farrington Court! 
  
Green Kent Work Party
Location: Springwood Park
Date: October 29, 2016   9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Description: We need your help to improve wildlife habitat at Springwood Park!  Earn community service hours while having fun outdoors, improving the environment, and giving back to your community.  It's a great way to have a great day!
  
Green Kent Planting Party at the GRNRA
Location: Green River Natural Resources Area
Date: October 30, 2016   9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Description: Come out to the beautiful Green River Natural Resources Area and help plant native trees and shrubs!  The GRNRA is 310 acres and many different animals call this place home.  Help us to help them by adding more native habitat.
  
Steward Orientation
Location: Public Works Nursery
Date: November 5, 2016   9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Description: Have you enjoyed meeting and working with our fantastic Green Kent Stewards?  Would you like to know more about what they do...and why they are doing it?  If you love our community's natural resources, you're already our kind of people!  Come, listen, ask questions, get a tour of the nursery and enjoy a light breakfast.  No commitment necessary.
  
Green Kent Mulching Party
Location: Park Orchard Park
Date: November 5, 2016   9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Description: Join us back at Park Orchard Park to give the native plants a boost!  We will be clearing and mulching around them to keep weeds at bay and help protect their roots as the cooler weather arrives.
  
Green Kent Work Party for Planting
Location: Clark Lake Park
Date: November 12, 2016   9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Description: Our fall weather is ideal for planting, and we will add more native plants to this beautiful natural space.  Earn community service hours, contribute to your community, and have fun!
  
Arbor Day Event
Location: Clark Lake Park
Date: November 19, 2016   9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Description: Help us beautify the space around the new granite boulder park sign at Clark Lake Park!  Put in a few trees, add a gravel trail and remove pesky plants that do not belong.  All ages and abilities are welcome.  Come be a part of something bigger than all of us - trees!
  
Invasive Species Removal Work Party
Location: Clark Lake Park
Date: November 20, 2016   9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Description: Those pesky invasive plants need to go!  Come back to Clark Lake Park to help remove them so our native species have a fighting chance.  Still need community service hours?  Here's a great chance to earn them!
