Evening Work Party at the GRNRA
Location: Green River Natural Resources Area
Date: August 5, 2015   5-8pm
Description: Join new Green Kent Steward Cassandra at the Green River Natural Resources Area for an early evening work party. Help to remove Himalayan blackberries and Reed Canarygrass before they take over.  The Green River Natural Resources Area is 310 acres of wetlands and wildlife habitat with an observation tower near the work site to enjoy the remarkable refuge.  A great way to end the work day!

Description: The hot summer has made everyone happy, including invasive species! New Steward Andy would love your support at his first work party.
  
Mulch Madness at the GRNRA
Location: Green River Natural Resources Area
Date: August 15, 2015   10am-1pm
Description: Come help us spread mulch over an area recently cleared by community volunteers!  Mulch helps to prevent weeds from growing and it helps keep moisture in the ground.  Much needed during this hot summer!

Description: It's time to prep for the planting season by removing unwanted and invasive plants that will harm new, baby native plants.  Join Steward Garrett and the rest of us in the fight!

Description: This park is almost ready for more trees!  First, we need to remove some more pesky weeds and Steward Laura would love your help.

Description: Steward Brian had a great turnout at his May work party, and he's hoping to see some of those fun faces back again in September, plus a few new ones. Bring your sturdy shoes, good attitude, possibly rain gear to get up-close and personal with the blackberries and reedcanary grass.
