The Kent Arts Commission's Spotlight Series is happening now! This year you'll discover:

• World music from Hawaii’s most popular female vocalist Amy Hanaiali’i, Creole legend Jeffery Broussard and annual Celtic favorites Magical Strings.
• Americana and roots music from America’s favorite cowboys Riders in The Sky and the Ruth Moody Band.
• Jazz and Blues from legends David Benoit, The Brubeck Brothers Quartet and Bettye LaVette.
• Amazing and hilarious entertainment including the New Shanghai Circus and the latest in the popular Late Nite Catechism series.

March is Youth Arts Month

The Kent Arts Commission celebrates Youth Arts Month every March with two legacy programs. The 25th Annual Kent Kids’ Arts Day encourages children to try their hand at making quality art projects. This year, Teaching Artists will provide instruction in everything from sewing a bean bag to painting a watercolor!

 

Date: Saturday, March 3, 2012

Time: 10 am - 4 pm

Location: Kent Commons, 525 Fourth Avenue North, Kent.

Tickets: $10 for children, all projects included. Adults and children 2 years old and younger do not have to pay an entry fee.

During the Kent Student Art Walk, the creativity of over 450 students from the Kent School District is highlighted.

 

Date: March 12-23

Location: downtown Kent and Centennial Center Gallery, 400 W Gowe Street

Reception: Friday, March 16, 5-7pm

Tickets: Free and open to the public.
